At Pediatric and Adolescent Urgent Care of WNY, we want you to enjoy this holiday season with family and friends. During this busy time of year, we would like to remind you to keep an even closer eye on the smallest family members. Children are naturally curious, and will get into just about anything. The holidays bring a variety of new experiences into your family’s life, especially if you have young children. There may be many more opportunities for children to get into dangerous items.

Here are a few quick things to remember:

• Remind visiting family members to keep prescription medications hidden away from tiny hands.

• Any alcoholic beverages should always be kept well away from the reach of your little ones.

• Shiny ornaments and decorations on the Christmas tree are most inviting to little eyes, and close monitoring is required.

• When visiting homes of family and friends, keep in mind that not every house is child-proof.

With close supervision of the little ones during this holiday season, you are sure to have a very Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays!

Dr. Sue
