Pediatric & Adolescent Urgent Care of WNY’s Mission

I can't begin to explain how impressed we are with Pediatric Urgent Care! When our son took ill suddenly on a Saturday night with a nasty cough and fever, we were directed in the morning by our doctor to take him here instead of regular urgent care. Boy. I'm so glad we did! The Southwestern Blvd location was clean, welcoming, and decorated like a summer beach house. Very calm and relaxing. We were quickly checked in and seen by a nurse in under 15 minutes. We then waited only about 5 more minutes and were seen and treated in a clean, private room with a real twin bed in it. This bed came in very handy to rest in, as we needed to stick around a few hours to ensure our son was on the mend. I could lay down and hold my finally sleeping son comfortably as the nurse checked his vitals from time to time. He did show improvement, and we were thoroughly updated during the discharge process. It sounds funny, but it was an amazing experience during a time of great stress. Did I mention the stuffed toy and popsicle? Bonus!

It's so nice to know a great place like this exists in case we ever do have a weekend or after hours illness again!

I cannot say enough to thank the staff and doctors here. You worked a miracle by keeping me calm though a scary situation. You did everything you could for my son and I while we were there and made sure we had the proper treatment even though it meant sending us to children's. 

He is back home and doing much better and hopefully can meet everyone in a better situation next time!!!

No one wants to spend their holiday at urgent care but I am so glad my son's pediatrician suggested this as an option to have him seen. From arrival I knew he was in good hands. They talked me through everything they were doing and observing and gave us detailed discharge instructions. The staff is very friendly and the bedroom-like treatment rooms helped my son to stay calmer...like he wasn't at a doctor's office. I highly recommend for those times the Primary isn't open but you don't want to wait to have your child seen.
